Distribution

The first conversation about an electrical distribution project

A new distribution requirement cannot be described by an equipment list alone. Preparation should consider existing systems, intended use and connection conditions together.

01

Describe the existing arrangement

Share available single-line diagrams, equipment information and existing designs. Does the request concern part of an existing system or a new facility? Clarifying that boundary helps the initial review.

02

Discuss operating requirements

Include intended use, operating hours and planned capacity changes in preparation. Discuss site access and the relationship between implementation and ongoing operations. These are inputs to technical review, not equipment selections in themselves.

03

Define implementation and review boundaries

Record which activities are requested: design, sourcing, installation and technical review. Any approval or connection processes are considered for the specific project. Sizing and protection decisions require specialist assessment of site data.
